The Topsfield Playground Committee believes that outdoor play boosts creativity, helps with problem-solving, mental focus, and promotes collaborative social play. The Topsfield Playground Committee is a volunteer-run organization based in Topsfield, MA. We are dedicated to making play challenging, fun, safe, and accessible. Our mission is to support the creation and maintenance of areas to provide safe, accessible, open-ended play for the families of Topsfield as well as the surrounding cities and towns.
Organized in 2008 by Topsfield families, we are a non-profit committee and are recognized as a tax-exempt public charity under IRC section 501(c)(3). We meet monthly to ensure that the town playgrounds align with our goals.
WHAT HAVE WE ACCOMPLISHED? Since 2008, we have raised over $300,000 to achieve our mission. Hundreds of volunteers and local contractors and businesses have come together through the years to support our projects including:
